This year 19 students of our gymnasium went on a study trip to London. From 6th April to 13th April they improved their English at Twin Group. They had lessons every day for four hours with native speakers. On their first day after passing a placement test brilliantly they were divided into three groups and mixed up with students of other nationalities. Our students` good level of English was acknowledged by British teaching staff. Our learners were praised for their desire to obtain new knowledge and also for their communicative skills.
Every afternoon was spent on sightseeing. We admired such must see London attractions as Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Royal Albert Hall, St Paul`s Cathedral and the Tower of London. We breathed in fresh chilly air in Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens strolling near marvellous Albert Memorial and the Round Pond with snow white swans and enjoying the view of Kensington Palace. The world-class British Museum, the stunning Tate Modern and National Gallery impressed us with their masterpieces. Queen`s House, the National Maritime Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum acquainted us with superb exhibits. Last but not least, we went over magnificent Tower Bridge and the slim, elegant Millenium Bridge, we relished spectacular views while being on a boat trip along the River Thames.
This was an unforgettable week in Great Britain
